Position Summary:

The Treasury Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and will oversee all treasury and accounts payable functions. This role will oversee a team of three and has one direct report and will be responsible for managing banking relationships and multiple cash management systems, work closely with the accounting and capital markets departments and maintain policies and procedures for all areas of the treasury function. The Treasury Manager plays an integral role in the daily operations of the company.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the treasury function across all banking platforms and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate the risk of fraud.  
  • Lead and coordinate quarterly user access and permission audits on all banking platforms to ensure proper user access.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all banking relationships to facilitate efficient processes between the company and the banks, optimize the use of services and minimizing fees.
  • Manage the formation of new bank accounts by working closely with the acquisition, capital markets, and accounting departments.
  • Manage relationships with third party management companies to ensure proper user access and internal controls related to cash management.
  • Lead treasury efforts to automate manual transaction processes and integrate external applications with banking systems in order recognize efficiencies and savings. This includes cash receipts processing, expense reporting and payment processing.
  • Recommend and implement cash management tools to facilitate cash transactions and reporting.
  • Oversee the accounts payable team to optimize the processing of invoices and payments and provide a high level of customer service to internal departments and external vendors.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of processes, policies, internal controls, and documentation
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of multiple company-wide projects
  • Hire, train, effectively lead and develop team members. Motivate and promote professional excellence, professional development, and company culture. Provide regular feedback, assist with establishing clear priorities and goals
Education and Experience Expected:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; accounting/finance majors preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of treasury, finance or accounting experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years delegating, managing, and prioritizing activities of direct reports, providing clarity and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Multi-bank management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
  • Ability to multi-task, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
  • Advanced knowledge of US banking (Canadian banking a plus), commercial credit card products and services, corporate treasury functions and related accounting; cash management and reporting, accounts payable and cash receipts.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
  • Advanced financial analysis and problem-solving skills.

Salary and Benefits

If employed in Colorado, the salary for this position generally ranges between $85,000 and $120,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.  Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the stated range based on various factors including, among other factors, location, education and training, experience, internal pay alignment, and performance.  A potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.  Many candidates’ compensation will start in the bottom half of the stated range.  This role is also eligible to participate in a merit-based annual bonus program, health, vision, and dental insurance plans, long and short-term disability, 401K plan, and PTO. This information is provided in connection with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, and similar positions located outside of Colorado may or may not necessarily receive the same compensation.
