Position Summary: This position will report to the Accounting Manager, Lease Administration and will work directly with and support the onshore and offshore accounting teams, Property Management team and Asset Management team. This position will partner with the offshore Lease Administration and Accounts Receivable teams daily to ensure correct lease transaction setup and billing, as well as proactively work towards continued process improvement. The ideal candidate has experience with commercial leases, can multi-task and work in a dynamic environment and is looking to contribute to a growing organization through teamwork and collaboration across multiple business units.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with the day-to-day operations of third-party lease administration and accounts receivable teams
Head the review and approval of lease abstracts and setups in MRI, including CAM recovery pools
Review and approve accounts receivable batches for one-off tenant transactions
Setup new leases and amendments in Yardi, including CAM recovery pools
Process monthly tenant billing and receipts in Yardi
Oversee monthly audit of leasing activities
Collaborate with property management and asset management teams on lease language interpretation
Assist in the annual MRI CAM estimate and reconciliation processes
Head up the monthly rent up and tenant billing process
Guide the lease acquisition process to ensure timely setup and reporting
Review tenants move-in and move-out procedures to ensure lease provisions are followed
Assist with external audits by providing support for cash receipt applications and lease support
Pilot the distribution of monthly reports to the property management team to obtain lease commencement and expiration information/confirmation
Assist with the daily cash deposit process
Assist with improvement of processes, policies and documentation
Participate in department and company-wide projects
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with third-party lease administration and accounts receivable teams, internal accounting teams and the organization
Self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position generally ranges between $70,000 and $80,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the stated range based on various factors including, among other factors, location, education and training, experience, internal pay alignment, and performance. A potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. Many candidates’ compensation will start in the bottom half of the stated range. This role is also eligible to participate in a merit-based annual bonus program, health, vision, and dental insurance plans, long and short-term disability, 401K plan, and PTO.
